Printable FAQ

Our printable DIY paper craft products are delivered to your email inbox as a link to download a PDF. After you download the PDF document to your computer you can print the files from your home printer. Once the document is printed you can begin to make the paper items by scoring, cutting, folding and finally gluing together to finish the toy. At Fantastic Toys we email the links to download the printables promptly after purchase, usually within minutes. That way you can get started on your craft project right away!

DOWNLOAD TROUBLESHOOTING

Here are some solutions that might help when you're having difficulty downloading or opening a PDF. Contact support if you cannot resolve your issue with one of these solutions.

1. Do NOT use Google Chrome to download files. There is a bug that blocks downloads. Try Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari as your browser.

2. Update your Adobe Reader to the current version. http://get.adobe.com/reader/

3. The files are very large, wait until the PDF is fully downloaded before you try to open it up. If you are attempting to download many PDF files at one time the PDF may not be fully downloaded. In this instance a file may show up blank or as a damaged file.

4. Occasionally a file cannot be downloaded because the server may be down. This rarely happens but when it does, wait a couple hours or until the server is back up you should be able to download the files.

5. The document could have been downloaded to a default folder instead of your desktop. Try doing a search for the file itself on your computer.

PRINTING

Each page of the PDF is formatted to fit an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet of white cardstock. For best results a 60 - 110 lb. weight cardstock should be used for a sturdy paper toy. For the paper toys in the photos I have used a 110 lb. white index cardstock purchased at my local office supply store. Printing from a color printer is also recommended. If you do not have a color printer you can always transfer the file onto a CD or jump drive and have them printed at your local printer.

ASSEMBLY

Younger children may require the assistance of an adult to finish. Only you can evaluate the skill level of your child. Typically each toy may take up to an hour or more to complete. Most of the paper toys require scoring, folding, cutting and gluing to assemble.
